  1. I had a girlfriend who lived there in the early-mid 70s. It was known as the Captain's House, as a former Navy officer (who was deceased by then) & his wife owned the house. She was renting rooms as a boarding house only. I believe the carriage house was occupied at the time, too. The house had the original etched glass windows & glasswork in the house, including the original gas light fixtures with their etched glass globes & cover, which had been retrofitted for electricity. Each bedroom had a fireplace in it, with beautiful fireplace surrounds & mantles. There was a powder room downstairs that was round with Diamond shaped red leather upholstered walls & real brass fixtures of a nautical motif, shining brightly. This house was not only unique & beautiful, it was very well maintained. I always wondered about the history of the house & its' owners. This house is a steal at $889,500.
