Let's give it up for one of the original chunks of white chocolate, Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien, aka Dusty Springfield, who was born today in 1939. Dusty left us in 1999 after a battle with breast cancer, but her legacy of blue-eyed soul continues to influence new generations of singers.
Good ole Dusty, she introduced me to several sons of Preacher Men! She is greatly missed.
