Actually, yesterday was the birthday of Maya Angelou, born in 1928. We love this lady so we figure a day late and a dollar short won't kill anybody. The award winning author has a fascinating personal history, including two of her early jobs, one as the first black female street car conductor in San Francisco and another as a brothel madame. We use this quote from her constantly: "When someone shows you who they are, believe them"
Not to mention her career as singer! I have a CD of her songs in my collection.
