TODAY IS WORLD AIDS DAY


More than 25 million people have died of AIDS since 1981.

Africa has over 14 million AIDS orphans.

At the end of 2008, women accounted for 50% of all adults living with HIV worldwide

In developing and transitional countries, 9.5 million people are in immediate need of life-saving AIDS drugs; of these, only 4 million (42%) are receiving the drugs.

Locally, a service will be held at the TRIPOINT, YMCA, 3233 N. St. Mary's

An interfaith service to celebrate the life of those we have lost from HIV/AIDS.
6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Gathering and Information sharing
7:15 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Welcoming and an Opportunity for City
Officials present to say a few words.
7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Service of Remembrance and Hope (Service will
be divided into 3 sections: Remembrance, Living
and Hope.
8.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Candlelight Ritual
