Marais starred in several movies directed by Jean Cocteau, for a time his lover, most famously Beauty and the Beast (1946) and Orphée (1949). He passed away on this day in 1998 at the age of 85. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Marais

I totally love Cocteau's version of Beauty and the Beast and it's the best version by far. I have it in my collection as well. You are missed Jean Marais.
