Born today in 1898, died in 1992. While most know her from the television show Hazel, Booth won a Tony in 1950 for her heart breaking portrayal of a lonely, self-sacrificing wife of an alcoholic doctor in Come Back Little Sheba. Booth also won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe when she reprised the role in the 1952 film version.
