EASTER WEEKEND CAMPING BAN LIFTED!

Camping out at Brackenridge Park is an Easter tradition for many San Antonio families.
Grab the tent, the sterno, the pinata, some cold refreshing beverages and your laptop (so you can keep up with this blog) , because starting at 11 p.m. Thursday, the park curfew is being lifted. Holla!
You'll have all weekend to sleep under the stars and get some practice at living outdoors, which could come in very handy during the housing crisis.
The curfew goes back into effect at 11 p.m. Easter Sunday.
Many other parks throughout the city are also lifting their curfews.

ANOTHER MORMON GONE WILD!

AURORA, Colo. (AP) -- A former bishop in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints allegedly operated a Ponzi scheme from his suburban Denver home for about 15 years, bilking investors out of millions of dollars to collect religious art and classic cars.
A lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Denver by the Securities and Exchange Commission alleges Shawn Merriman, an unlicensed broker, collected up to $20 million from investors in several states to support a lavish lifestyle.

Wonder if Merriman donated any of that funny money for Prop. 8?

Adult film star JACK WRANGLER has died after losing his battle with a lung disease.The former child actor became a gay porn pin-up in the 1970s but went straight after falling in love with and marrying singer Margaret Whiting.

TEXAS WOMAN CALLS 911: NOT ENOUGH SHRIMP!

HALTOM CITY, Texas – A woman called 911 to report she didn't get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Texas restaurant.
Haltom City police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher, "to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?"
The customer also says: "He didn't even put extra shrimp in there."
The upset customer had left the Fort Worth-area restaurant when an officer arrived Monday afternoon.
Restaurant workers say the woman had been denied a refund after leaving with her order, then returning to complain.
Cook June Lee says nothing was wrong with the meal, and that "some customers are happy. Some are not."

CALIFORNIANS DONATE MILLIONS TO STOP TEXAS REDNECK WEDDINGS

Gay marriage is back in the news today as Vermont becomes the 4th state to legalize it. We never thought we'd see a black (or half black) president in our lifetime, and we were proved wrong. We stand firm to our belief that we will never see legalized gay marriage in Texas in our lifetime. We'd like to be proved wrong again, but we're not holding our breath. While we personally don't belive in ANY marriage, we do believe in equal rights and also hold firm to the idea of government staying out of the personal lives of citizens. That being said, we dug up some old poop and found a list of OPPONENTS of gay marriage (source- Q San Antonio) and thought we'd share this with you, in case you want to BOYCOTT them. We're not suggesting anything......

The award winning author has a fascinating personal history, including two of her early jobs, one as the first black female street car conductor in San Francisco and another as a brothel madame.
